Girona vs Leganes predictions, H2H and match preview for this Saturday’s game in Spain’s La Liga. Read on for analysis and predicted line-ups as the visitors aim to end a miserable winless streak on the road.
DATE/TIME – Saturday 10th November 2018, 20:45 (Spanish Time)
STADIUM – Estadi Municipal de Montilivi
COMPETITION – La Liga
#GironaLeganes
This Saturday’s late game in La Liga comes from Catalonia as Girona take on Leganes at Montilivi. Both clubs have done very well to establish themselves in the top flight and while it is only Girona’s second season at this level, already they look very much like a team that is unlikely to be flirting with danger.
The same can’t be quite said of Leganes who sit 18th currently. They held Atletico Madrid to a draw last weekend and have already beaten Barcelona at Butarque. Away from home though, they’ve been far less assured and they need to rectify that if this season is to be anything but a relegation struggle. A return of just 1 point from their last 13 away in La Liga is clearly not good enough.
Girona will be very happy with their return of 7 points from their last 3 games, particularly given the injuries they’ve had to deal with to key men like Cristhian Stuani and Portu. Their keeper Bono was the inspiration last weekend as they came away from the Mestalla with a hard-fought victory largely thanks to some brilliant saves from the Moroccan.
They will hope to have a few more players back here and they will be targeting three points against Leganes. Depending on other results this weekend, Girona could even move as high as 6th with a win, which would represent a good start for Eusebio at the Catalan club.
Girona vs Leganes Predictions
Score Prediction: 2-0 Girona
Leganes have played quite well at times this season but their overall away record is so bad that it’s hard to ever fancy them on the road. Girona are in form and may have Stuani back up top with the Uruguayan already on 8 goals for the season. They should be able to get the win here.
Girona vs Leganes H2H
- Last 6 meetings: 3 Girona Wins, 3 Draws
- Girona won this fixture 3-0 last term, also drawing 0-0 in Madrid.
- 3 of the last 4 meetings have finished level.

One to Watch – Bono

Bono has arguably been the best keeper in La Liga this season. He was inspired last weekend to deny a Valencia side that just couldn’t find what they were looking for…
