Alaves vs Huesca predictions, H2H and match preview for this Sunday’s game in Spain’s La Liga. Read on for analysis and predicted line-ups as both sides hope to recover from late goals conceded last weekend.
DATE/TIME – Sunday 11th November 2018, 12:00 (Spanish Time)
STADIUM – Estadio de Mendizorroza
COMPETITION – La Liga
Huesca are still looking for their first victory since the opening day of the season as they head to Alaves this Sunday in La Liga. Huesca’s only previous win did come in this part of the world against Eibar and they will take encouragement from an improved showing last weekend.
They came within minutes of beating Getafe at home but ultimately had to settle for a point with Jorge Molina scoring late on for the visitors. It was still a first point for Huesca under their new boss and it should have given them something of a boost heading into this away game but it’s still overall looking pretty bleak for the Aragonese club.
Things are a whole lot brighter in Vitoria but Alaves did suffer only their third defeat of the season last time out, as they also conceded in Stoppage Time, losing at Eibar. They’d won 3 on the bounce in La Liga prior to that and will be hoping to bounce back here with three points in a game they are expected to win.
This will be a different kind of challenge for Alaves, who have largely thrived on their underdogs tag. Huesca are likely to be quite cautious and Alaves may need to be patient to work some openings.
Alaves vs Huesca Predictions
Score Prediction: 1-0 Alaves
Huesca do look more solid at the back under Francisco and their last two performances haven’t been too bad. However there is still an individual mistake in them at the back and not enough quality in the final third so it’s hard to see them avoiding defeat against an Alaves side that is having a fantastic season.
Alaves vs Huesca H2H
- Last 4 meetings: 3 Alaves Wins, 1 Huesca Win
- The sides last met in the 2015-16 Segunda Division with Alaves winning both meetings.
