Barcelona vs Wolfsburg predictions, H2H and match preview for this Tuesday’s Women’s Champions League Semi-Final in San Sebastian. Read on for analysis and predicted line-ups as the Catalans aim to win the competition for the first time.
Barcelona Women vs Wolfsburg Women Preview

Barcelona Women emerged from the all-Spanish UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final on Friday to set up a Semi-Final against Wolfsburg. The Catalans are aiming to win this competition for the first time having reached their maiden Final last term. It will be tough though against a Wolfsburg side that ran riot in their last eight tie.
As the current Spanish champions, Barcelona would have strongly fancied they would see off Atleti in the Quarter-Final, particularly with their opponents missing five players following positive COVID-19 tests. Barça made hard work of it though and despite dominating possession, had to wait until the 80th minute to find a breakthrough with Kheira Hamraoui scoring the only goal in the game at San Mames.
They head to San Sebastian for the Semi-Final, the scene of what was an absolute demolition job from Wolfsburg in the Quarter-Finals. They ran out 9-1 winners against Glasgow City with Denmark’s Pernille Harder scoring four times. Indeed they have not seriously been tested yet in this competition with 15-0 and 7-0 aggregate victories in the previous two rounds.
This though will clearly be a step up in class for Wolfsburg and their first real test but the German side will be the clear favourites with greater pedigree in this competition than their opponents, having reached 4 Finals previously, winning 2 of them.
Barcelona Women vs Wolfsburg Women Predictions
Score Prediction: 3-1 Wolfsburg
Barcelona’s Quarter-Final was their first competitive game since March and that lack of match sharpness did show for both sides. It’s going to be a tough ask here against a rampant Wolfsburg side that looks a bit sharper and a bit stronger overall. The Germans ought to progress into the Final.
Barcelona vs Wolfsburg H2H
- The sides have been paired together once previously in this competition.
- Wolfsburg were 5-0 aggregate winners when the clubs met at the 2013-14 Quarter-Final stage.
Predicted Line-Ups

Wolfsburg:
