Matchday 32 concluded at Camp Nou with a huge upset as struggling Cadiz gave their survival hopes a massive boost by beating Barcelona 1-0. While the Catalan giants did post the highest possession and passing accuracy figures of the gameweek, when Cadiz attacked they caused big problems for Xavi’s side. With the visitors creating 1.93 xG to Barcelona’s 1.35, they returned to Andalusia worthy winners having collected 3 points at Camp Nou for the first time.
That was bad news for everyone else at the bottom including Alaves and Rayo Vallecano who clashed on Saturday in Vitoria. Alaves won 1-0 to drag Rayo further into the relegation picture, despite the visitors registering a matchday high 20 attempts on goal.
The other big game at the bottom, saw Levante recorded the highest tallies for goals and xG on matchday 32. They remain in the relegation zone and still have a lot of work to do but were good value for their 4-1 win at Granada with the Nazaries now in big trouble too.

There weren’t many positives for Barcelona on Monday night but even in their first league defeat of 2022, Ousmane Dembele stood out once more. The Frenchman completed an incredible 13 dribbles and also had the joint most shots of any player in LaLiga this weekend.
Elsewhere Isi Palazon was another player to shine in defeat. He completed an impressive 8 key passes for Rayo Vallecano and continues to prove he belongs at this level in what is his debut top flight campaign.
On the defensive front, Mouctar Diakhaby and Eric Garcia, two players who have received their fair share of criticism this season, set the matchday highs for successful tackles and interceptions respectively.
Sorare LaLiga Fantasy Team of the Week
It was a very low-scoring week on the fantasy football front with only a few players really excelling. We’ve just about managed to put an XI together from players with 75+ scores but it’s not exactly the most balanced lineup with very few options in central defence or central midfield this gameweek.
We only saw two scores of 90+. One was via Gerard Moreno who netted for Villarreal only to be taken off in the 2nd Half with a hamstring issue, a major blow for the Yellow Submarine with the 1st Leg of their UEFA Champions League Semi-Final against Liverpool on the horizon.
Sorare Player of the Week: Jose Luis Morales (97)
There was no stopping el comandante this weekend as the Levante forward continued his fine form with a goal and two assists in his team’s vital 4-1 win at Granada.
Sorare is a Fantasy Football platform with one of the most advanced scoring matrices. All players are scored from 0-100 based on performance. You can read our latest Sorare content here to find out more about it.
