Real Betis vs Levante predictions, H2H and match preview for this Tuesday’s game in La Liga. Read on for analysis and predicted line-ups as the hosts aim for their second win under Rubi.
Real Betis vs Levante Preview
Real Betis are one of those clubs that always seems to be one game away from a crisis and that’s perhaps the situation here. It hasn’t been a blistering start from Betis by any means with just one victory from their opening five games. Plenty was expected from them in a season where they are able to call upon the considerable talents of Nabil Fekir and Borja Iglesias in attack. They’ll be hoping for better luck this term against a Levante side who wiped the floor with them in 2018/19.
The Valencia club won by an aggregate score of 7-0 across the two games including a 3-0 win at the Benito Villamarin on the opening weekend where they scored their goals courtesy of some blistering counter-attacking football. It may be a similar approach here. While this is a new Betis under new management, they are still a team that likes to control the play although there is a greater emphasis on getting the ball forward a bit more quickly than there was under Quique Setien.
Betis will have to cope without their star summer signing Fekir here. That should make way for Loren Moron to return to the team and he has been in good form with 3 goals already this season. Betis may go 4-4-2 as a result while Levante are likely to revert to a 4-3-3 bordering on 4-5-1 when they don’t have the ball.
Paco Lopez is expected to rotate his eleven quite heavily and they do have a genuine sense that there’s strength in depth, certainly for one of the smaller clubs in the league. The full-backs may switch while the likes of Enis Bardhi and Sergio Leon will also be hoping to break into the side. If last season’s meeting here is anything to go by though, it’s Jose Luis Morales who is still likely to be their biggest weapon.
Real Betis vs Levante Predictions
Score Prediction: 2-2 Draw
This game is likely to see Betis enjoy at least 60% of the ball and you imagine that Levante will simply try and do what they did successfully last season. If they can break at pace, they could ask questions of a Betis side that doesn’t fully convince yet and is hampered by the absence of Fekir. Levante look capable of getting another good result against the Seville club.
