Real Betis vs Real Valladolid predictions, H2H and match preview for this Sunday’s game in La Liga. Read on for analysis and predicted line-ups as the new boys aim to extend their winning streak to four matches.
DATE/TIME – Sunday 21st October 2018, 20:45 (Spanish Time)
STADIUM – Benito Villamarin
COMPETITION – La Liga
The final game on Sunday in La Liga comes from the Benito Villamarin, scene of England’s 3-2 win over Spain earlier in the week. Fortunately for the home fans, Real Betis have been defending rather better than La Roja managed on Monday night with Marc Bartra staking his case for a regular start in Spain colours.
Their visitors here are Real Valladolid who have been going very nicely too. They come into this one having won three straight matches in La Liga, some going for a newly promoted side. If they could extend that streak here they could move into the top six and would have 15 points on the board already and would be well on the road to securing another season at this level.
Betis though will be tough opponents. They’ve only lost 1 of their last 9 matches in all competitions, a narrow defeat at the Wanda Metropolitano last time out. They’d won three on the bounce before that, keeping a clean sheet in all those matches. They’ve developed into a side that is really capable of taking control of matches and they usually dominate the possession stats but they perhaps need a bit more cutting edge at times.
Valladolid have looked reasonably solid defensively for a side that has just come up so Betis will have to work hard for their openings while trying to take care of the threat of Enes Unal and Leo Suarez at the other end.
Real Betis vs Real Valladolid Predictions
Score Prediction: 2-1 Betis
This match should tell us a lot more about both sides. Betis will need to consistently win home matches such as this if they are to compete for European football again this term while Valladolid will be out to show their recent form is no flash in the pan. Betis are the team with more quality though and fresh from an international break they should have enough to get the win.

One to Watch – Loren Moron
Loren Morón this season:
– 23 games & 17 goals for Betis B
– 14 games & 7 goals for @RealBetis

– Seville Derby debut + goalFrom zero to hero in less than 5 months. Setien effect. pic.twitter.com/8hZPHmf3QX

Moron was little more than a B team player for Betis 12 months ago but what a rise he has had. He’s already netted two crucial winners this season for the Seville club and they may need him to produce the goods again here with not many goals coming from elsewhere.
