Yeclano vs Valencia Preview

UD Ibiza vs Celta Vigo preview and betting tips

All of the Spanish top flight sides ultimately progressed in the Copa del Rey 1st Round but none were pushed harder than Valencia. They’ll be hoping for smoother progress this week when they travel to minnows Yeclano in the 2nd Round.

Los Che were 2-0 down heading into the final 10 minutes at 4th tier Terrassa last month but ultimately progressed in Extra Time. That would have been one of the greatest shocks in the competition’s history but in the state Valencia are in right now, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if they struggled again here too.

Held at home by Cadiz on Monday night, Valencia did climb out of the relegation zone but it wasn’t exactly the result or performance to lift the gloom at Mestalla. Javi Gracia is reportedly on the brink of the sack heading into this game but it will be a tough job for anyone who comes in and in truth, merely staying in the top flight will be the only real target now with the Copa del Rey unlikely to be much of a priority.

Yeclano will sense an opportunity to record a famous victory. The Murcia based club will certainly welcome this rare chance to host illustrious opponents but their league form doesn’t exactly suggest they are playing the sort of football which should challenge even troubled top flight opposition.

They’ve not won yet in the Segunda B this term, taking just 3 points from their 8 league games so far in 2020/21. Their only win came in the Copa del Rey 1st Round when they saw off fellow Segunda B outfit Rayo Majadahonda in Extra Time.

Yeclano vs Valencia Predictions

Score Prediction: Yeclano 0-2 Valencia

Valencia clearly have a lot of issues but their scare in the 1st Round ought to help ensure they don’t start so sloppily this time out. Yeclano are struggling in their league and don’t look to be in the kind of shape to pull off an upset of this magnitude.
