Please read this page in full before getting in touch!
The 2022/23 season is our fifth covering Spanish football. We are happy to hear from new writers who are interested in writing regular match previews or blog articles.
We also accept some one-off blog contributions if you have an idea or full piece on Spanish football that you think our readers would enjoy. These can be analytical or opinion pieces on current events in LaLiga or at one of its teams. Here are a few recent examples which may give you an idea of the kind of content we’re looking for:
Tactical Analysis of Sevilla in Possession
How Real Sociedad built one of Europe’s most exciting young teams
The Rise of Almería – What impact can they make in LaLiga?
If anyone’s interested in getting some experience producing social media content (Twitter) then we are also happy to hear from you!
What we are looking for:
To write for LaLiga Expert, you need to fulfil the following criteria:
1) You need to have a strong knowledge of and passion for Spanish football.
2) You need to be able to express yourself eloquently and accurately in English. Non-native English speakers are welcome to get in touch, but you will need to have a very advanced level of written English to be considered.
What we can offer you:
Firstly, please note that we’re not in a position to pay new writers so please look elsewhere if you are seeking paid employment. The site currently features little to no advertising so there is no budget to pay for contributions but at least your articles won’t be crowded out by a bunch of annoying display ads.
If you’re a budding sports writer looking for a platform to showcase your talent on, this might be a good opportunity for you to take those next steps on the challenging road to making football writing your profession.
What LaLiga Expert can provide you with, is a platform to develop your football writing skills and gain exposure. We currently get around 30,000-40,000 readers per month which should give you a significantly greater audience than you will receive on a personal football blog.
In all cases, you can pick and choose how many articles you write. There is no minimum commitment to produce a certain amount per week or anything like that so you should be able to easily fit it around your life and other work/study commitments.
What to do next:
- If you aren’t familiar with LLE already, have a quick read of one or two of our articles – this should give you a better idea of the tone and style of the site.
- Get in touch by sending an email to contact (at) laligaexpert.com. Please let us know a little bit about why you want to write about Spanish football and attach either an article you have written or preferably a link to a previous piece.
- We aim to respond to all writing enquiries, whether or not we are able to feature your work.
