2025 is shaping up to be an incredibly busy year for the defending Spanish and European champions. The Real Madrid schedule will see Los Blancos compete in at least five different competitions with the new FIFA Club World Cup set to take up a significant part of their summer.
Below, you’ll find the expected Real Madrid calendar. Anyone hoping to catch Los Blancos in action will have options on at least three different continents, although getting Real Madrid home tickets is currently a difficult task, with very high demand for matches at the recently renovated Santiago Bernabeu.

2025 Real Madrid schedule – Month by month
April 2025 – Los Blancos target Copa del Rey glory in Seville
Date | Competition | Fixture |
Sunday April 20th | LaLiga | Real Madrid vs Athletic Club |
Wednesday April 23rd | LaLiga | Getafe vs Real Madrid |
Saturday April 26th | Copa del Rey (final) | Real Madrid vs Barcelona |
Following elimination from the Champions League against Arsenal, Real Madrid will be hoping to bounce back quickly with three important domestic matches before the end of April. Firstly, they’ll be hoping for maximum points from league games against Athletic Club and Getafe, as they bid to stay on Barcelona’s heels in the title race.
They then face Barca in the final of the Copa del Rey, a competition they last won in 2023. For Carlo Ancelotti and his side, it’s a shot at redemption following a heavy defeat to the Catalans in the Supercopa final earlier in the year. The match will take place at La Cartuja in Seville, with a 22:00 kick-off local time.
May 2025 – El Clasico and the finale of LaLiga
Date | Competition | Fixture |
Saturday May 3rd | LaLiga | Real Madrid vs Celta Vigo |
Sunday May 11th | LaLiga | Barcelona vs Real Madrid |
Midweek of May 13th/14th/15th | LaLiga | Real Madrid vs Mallorca |
Weekend of May 17th/18th | LaLiga | Sevilla vs Real Madrid |
Weekend of May 24th/25th | LaLiga | Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad |
May 2025 marks the conclusion of the Spanish season, and it will now only include league commitments for Real Madrid. They kick off with a home game against Celta Vigo, before heading to the Estadi Olimpic for an enormous Clasico clash that will go a long way to determining who wins LaLiga 2024/25.
There’s sure to be very high demand to secure tickets for El Clasico as always, with Barcelona’s temporary home also hampered by a limited capacity of not much over 50,000.
If the title race goes to the wire, Real Madrid may need a positive result at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan on matchday 37, before their final game at home to Real Sociedad.
Los Blancos were also hoping to continue their current era of domination in the Champions League, but they’ll now be little more than interested spectators when the final of that competition takes place at the end of the month.

June 2025 – The FIFA Club World Cup begins
Date | Competition | Fixture |
Wednesday June 18th | FIFA Club World Cup | Real Madrid vs Al Hilal (Miami, USA) |
Sunday June 22nd | FIFA Club World Cup | Real Madrid vs Pachuca (Charlotte, USA) |
Thursday June 26th | FIFA Club World Cup | Real Madrid vs RB Salzburg (Philadelphia, USA) |
June 30th/July 1st* | FIFA Club World Cup | Possible round-of-16 game (USA) |
Real Madrid are in the United States in June 2025 to take part in the newly expanded FIFA Club World Cup which will feature 32 teams. The Spanish giants have been placed in Group H alongside RB Salzburg, Al Hilal and Pachuca, with their group games taking place between June 18th and June 26th.
US-based fans of Los Blancos have a good chance of securing tickets for their games in Miami, Charlotte and Philadelphia. After that, and assuming they do as expected progress, their FIFA Club World Cup schedule will depend on whether they finish as group winners or runners-up.
July 2025 – The FIFA Club World Cup concludes
Date | Competition | Fixture |
July 4th/5th* | FIFA Club World Cup | Possible quarter-final (USA) |
July 8th/9th* | FIFA Club World Cup | Possible semi-final (East Rutherford, USA) |
Sunday July 13th* | FIFA Club World Cup | Possible final (East Rutherford, USA) |
The controversial new format, sees the Club World Cup follow the same schedule as the actual World Cup, with the knockout phase consisting of 16 teams. Real Madrid will be bidding to reach the final that is pencilled in for the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday July 13th 2025.
August 2025 – The new season begins
LaLiga 2025/26 is expected to begin on the weekend of August 16th/17th, although the Spanish top flight may again opt to stagger the opening matchday so it’s played out between Thursday 14th and Monday 18th. There’s likely to be two or three more matchdays by the end of the month, although the full calendar won’t be announced until at least June.
September 2025 – The Champions League returns
Real Madrid will start their new Champions League campaign in the midweek of September 16th-18th with their opening league phase match. They’ll be hoping to make amends for a quarter-final exit in the 2024/25 competition.
October 2025 – LaLiga reaches matchday 10
In recent years, October has often been the month of the first Clasico of the season, but there’s no guarantee that will be the case this year. LaLiga 2025/26 should be at least 10 matchdays old by the end of the month, with the table starting to take shape.
As for the Champions League, each team will have played three games in the league phase by the end of October.

November 2025 – Two more Champions League fixtures
There are Champions League matchdays on 4th/5th November and 25th/26th November as the giants of European football target a top-eight finish in a competition which will follow the same format again in the 2025/26 season.
LaLiga will pause for the third international break of the season in November, but we’re likely to be 14 or 15 matches in by the end of the month.
December 2025 – A hectic year concludes
With Los Blancos potentially playing competitive football in every single month in 2025, it may end up being the busiest year in the club’s history in terms of the number of matches played.
There are no shortage of Real Madrid key dates in 2025, but their players would be forgiven for having half an eye on the weekend of 20th/21st December, which should be the final round of fixtures in LaLiga before a well-earned winter break.
