2025 Barcelona schedule – Key dates

FC barcelona key dates in 2025

After a largely promising start to the Hansi Flick era, despite some hiccups at the end of 2024, Barca are gunning for silverware in 2025. They’ll be targeting the big domestic and European prizes and the Barcelona schedule is a very busy one until the end of May.

We are going to take a look at all the Barcelona key dates throughout the remainder of the 2024/25 season, as well as the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign.

Visitors to the Catalan capital, looking to secure FC Barcelona tickets in 2025, should be aware that the club is currently playing its home games at the Estadi Olimpic, situated on the Montjuïc hill overlooking the centre of the city. Renovation is ongoing at Camp Nou, but the club are hopeful of returning to their iconic home by the start of the 2025/26 season.

Tuesday April 22ndLaLigaBarcelona vs Mallorca
Saturday April 26thCopa del Rey (final in Seville)Barcelona vs Real Madrid
Wednesday April 30thUEFA Champions LeagueBarcelona vs Inter

With nine games on the FC Barcelona schedule in April, Flick will need to find a way to rotate his team and keep the momentum building towards a potential treble.

After seeing off Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals, Barca will now face Inter in the last four of the Champions League, with the first leg at the Estadi Olimpic on Wednesday April 30th.

Before then, they have two home games to play in LaLiga, with maximum points sure to be the aim. Football fans visiting Catalunya in the middle of the month will be in for a treat, with Celta Vigo and Mallorca both travelling to Barcelona in the space of four days.

There’s also the small matter of a Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid. That match will take place at La Cartuja in Seville on Saturday 26th April. The game will commence at 22:00 local time, and could finish well past midnight if extra time is required. Barcelona have won the trophy a record 31 times, but they haven’t tasted success since 2021.

May 2025 – A tough end to LaLiga & a potential trip to Munich?

Tuesday May 6thUEFA Champions LeagueInter vs Barcelona
Sunday May 11thLaLigaBarcelona vs Real Madrid
Midweek of May 13th/14th/15thLaLigaEspanyol vs Barcelona
Weekend of May 17th/18thLaLigaBarcelona vs Villarreal
Weekend of May 24th/25thLaLigaAthletic Club vs Barcelona
Saturday May 31st*UEFA Champions LeaguePossible final (Munich, Germany)

The final five matchdays of LaLiga 2024/25 take place in May. After a winnable fixture at rock bottom Real Valladolid which is set to be moved to Saturday May 3rd, it’s a really tough conclusion to the season for Flick and his team, with a big El Clasico date kicking things off.

The meeting with Real Madrid will take place on Sunday May 11th in Barcelona, with a 16:15 kick-off. Tickets are sure to be in hot demand for El Clasico as always, particularly if the title race continues to be close between the two sides.

However, with Barca still needing to play the derby at Espanyol, before tough final games against Villarreal and Athletic Club, there could be one or two more twists even after the game against Los Blancos.

They’ll also be gunning to win the Champions League for the first time in a decade in May. A semi-final second leg at San Siro against Inter provides a tricky path to the final which will take place in Munich at the end of the month. See off Inter, and Barca would take on either Arsenal or PSG at the Allianz Arena on Saturday May 31st, in what would be their final game of the 2024/25 season.

June 2025 – Holiday time

After the demands of a busy season, Barcelona’s players will get the chance to switch off in June and enjoy their holidays. Unlike Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, they have not qualified for the FIFA Club World Cup which will take place in the United States in June and July.

July 2025 – Pre-season tour

Barcelona typically head to the United States in July for some lucrative pre-season games, but US-based Culers may not get the chance to see their side in action this year.

Instead, reports strongly suggest that Barca will be heading to the Far East for their 2025 pre-season tour. Exact details should be confirmed soon, but the current speculation centres around games in Japan, South Korea and potentially China.

August 2025 – The 2025/26 season kicks off

The tour is likely to conclude in early August, while they will also play the traditional Joan Gamper Trophy, potentially the first match back in Camp Nou. Should they win the 2024/25 Champions League, they would also head to Udinese’s Stadio Friuli on Wednesday August 13th for the UEFA Super Cup.

The new 2025/26 LaLiga season is likely to kick off the following weekend, although exact details are yet to be confirmed. It’s likely that Barca will have played three or four league games by the end of August.

September 2025 – A new Champions League campaign

The first fortnight of September will see the first international break of the new season, with Barca returning to league action after that.

Barcelona will also kick off their 2025/26 Champions League campaign in September. Their first match is expected to be between the 16th and 18th of the month.

October 2025 – LaLiga starting to take shape

There’s another international break in October, but LaLiga should be at least 10 matchdays old by the end of the month. We’ll therefore start to have a clearer picture of how things are shaping up at the top of the table.

The exact Barca schedule for the new LaLiga season will be revealed at some point in the summer of 2025.

November 2025 – Two more UCL matchdays

November will feature two more Champions League matchdays. The competition will follow the same format in the 2025/26 season with each team playing eight different sides during the league phase.

LaLiga will pause for the final international break of the year in the middle of the month.

December 2025 – The end of a busy year

A busy and hopefully successful year as far as Barca fans are concerned, will end in December, with several more league games and matchday six in the league phase of the Champions League.

It’s likely that Barca’s final game of 2025 will take place on the weekend of 20th/21st December in LaLiga, ahead of a break over the Christmas period.
