After a largely promising start to the Hansi Flick era, despite some hiccups at the end of 2024, Barca will be gunning for silverware in 2025. They’ll be targeting the big domestic and European prizes and the Barcelona schedule is a busy one throughout the opening five months of the new year.
We are going to take a look at all the Barcelona key dates throughout the remainder of the 2024/25 season, as well as the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign.
Visitors to the Catalan capital, looking to secure FC Barcelona tickets in 2025, should be aware that the club is currently playing its home games at the Estadi Olimpic, situated on the Montjuïc hill overlooking the centre of the city. Renovation is ongoing at Camp Nou, but the club are hopeful of returning to their iconic home at some point in early 2025.

Date | Competition | Fixture |
Saturday January 4th | Copa del Rey | Barbastro vs Barcelona |

Sunday January 26th | LaLiga | Barcelona vs Valencia |

Barcelona claimed their first silverware under Flick, by demolishing Real Madrid 5-2 in the Supercopa final in Saudi Arabia. It was the perfect start to the new year for Culers, and the focus now will be on getting back on track in LaLiga with matches against Getafe and Valencia to come before the end of the month.
January also sees Barca conclude the league phase of the Champions League. They are currently very well placed to secure a top eight finish, with one more win sure to be enough from their final games against Benfica and Atalanta.
Flick’s side will also be hoping to see off Real Betis, to secure passage into the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.
February 2025 – Copa del Rey heads into the last four
Date | Competition | Fixture |
Sunday February 2nd | LaLiga | Barcelona vs Alaves |
Midweek of February 4th/5th/6th* | Copa del Rey | Possible quarter-final |

There could be anywhere between four and eight Barcelona games in February, depending on their progress in the cup competitions.
If, as expected, Barca finish in the top eight of the initial league phase of the Champions League, they won’t need to play a knockout phase play-off tie this month, and will instead progress directly into the round-of-16.
There’s the potential for Copa del Rey fixtures at the start and end of the month, while it’s a relatively favourable league schedule in February for the Catalans, with Alaves and Rayo Vallecano the visitors to Barcelona.
March 2025 – Crunch Atleti trip concludes busy period

Weekend of March 1st/2nd | LaLiga | Barcelona vs Real Sociedad |

Weekend of March 15th/16th | LaLiga | Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona |
Weekend of March 29th/30th | LaLiga | Barcelona vs Girona |
Barring a major surprise, Barcelona will be in the Champions League round-of-16 in March with the two legs played in successive weeks at the start of the month. Should they finish in the top eight of the league phase, Barca will be at home in the second leg of their UCL tie on either Tuesday March 11th or Wednesday March 12th.
Barca will most likely play five games in the first 15 or 16 days of March, concluding with a potentially decisive trip to title rivals Atletico Madrid in LaLiga. There’s then a fortnight break for the internationals, before a Catalan derby against Girona at the end of the month.
April 2025 – The Champions League heats up

Midweek of April 1st/2nd* | Copa del Rey | Possible semi-final 2nd leg |
Weekend of April 5th/6th | LaLiga | Barcelona vs Real Betis |

Saturday April 26th* | Copa del Rey | Possible final (Seville) |
Midweek of April 29th/30th* | UEFA Champions League | Possible semi-final 1st leg |
There could be as many as nine games on the FC Barcelona schedule in April, with the business end of the season fast approaching.
That includes the possibility of three Champions League games in the month. The quarter-finals will take place across successive weeks in the first half of April. Barca will be bidding to go one better than last year and make the semi-finals for the first time in six years. If they can manage that, they’ll have a semi-final 1st leg to look forward to on either Tuesday 29th April or Wednesday 30th April.
In LaLiga, maximum points will be the aim from four relatively favourable fixtures. Football fans visiting Catalunya in April, will have ample opportunity to catch some Blaugrana action, with Real Betis, Celta Vigo and Mallorca all visiting in LaLiga.
Saturday 26th April is also the date for the Copa del Rey final in Seville. Barcelona have won the trophy a record 31 times, but they haven’t tasted success since 2021.
May 2025 – El Clasico starts tough end to season
Date | Competition | Fixture |
Weekend of May 3rd/4th | LaLiga | Real Valladolid vs Barcelona |
Midweek of May 6th/7th* | UEFA Champions League | Possible semi-final 2nd leg |
Weekend of May 10th/11th | LaLiga | Barcelona vs Real Madrid |
Midweek of May 13th/14th/15th | LaLiga | Espanyol vs Barcelona |
Weekend of May 17th/18th | LaLiga | Barcelona vs Villarreal |
Weekend of May 24th/25th | LaLiga | Athletic Club vs Barcelona |
Saturday May 31st* | UEFA Champions League | Possible final (Munich, Germany) |
The final five matchdays of LaLiga 2024/25 take place in May. After a winnable fixture at struggling Real Valladolid at the start of the month, it’s a really tough conclusion to the season for Flick and his team.
There’s a potentially massive Clasico clash with Real Madrid on the weekend of May 10th. Tickets are sure to be in hot demand for El Clasico as always, particularly if the title race is close between the two sides.
However, with Barca still needing to play the derby at Espanyol, before tough final games against Villarreal and Athletic Club, there could be one or two more twists even after the game against Los Blancos.
Should they advance, Barca will also have a Champions League semi-final 2nd leg in early May. Progress from that, and they’d finish their season in Munich on Saturday May 31st with the final of the UEFA Champions League serving up the opportunity for Barca to win the prestigious trophy for the first time in a decade.
June 2025 – Holiday time
After the demands of a busy season, Barcelona’s players will get the chance to switch off in June and enjoy their holidays. Unlike Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, they have not qualified for the FIFA Club World Cup which will take place in the United States in June and July.
July 2025 – Pre-season tour
Barcelona typically head to the United States in July for some lucrative pre-season games, but US-based Culers may not get the chance to see their side in action this year.
Instead, reports strongly suggest that Barca will be heading to the Far East for their 2025 pre-season tour. Exact details should be confirmed soon, but the current speculation centres around games in Japan, South Korea and China.
August 2025 – The 2025/26 season kicks off
There may be another friendly or two for Barcelona in early August, including the traditional Joan Gamper Trophy. Should they win the 2024/25 Champions League, they would also head to Udinese’s Stadio Friuli on Wednesday August 13th for the UEFA Super Cup.
The new 2025/26 LaLiga season is likely to kick off the following weekend, although exact details are yet to be confirmed. It’s likely that Barca will have played three or four league games by the end of August.
September 2025 – A new Champions League campaign
The first fortnight of September will see the first international break of the new season, with Barca returning to league action after that.
Assuming they finish in the top four of LaLiga 2024/25, which seems a safe assumption to make, Barcelona will also kick off their 2025/26 Champions League campaign in September. Their first match is expected to be between the 16th and 18th of the month.
October 2025 – LaLiga starting to take shape
There’s another international break in October, but LaLiga should be at least 10 matchdays old by the end of the month. We’ll therefore start to have a clearer picture of how things are shaping up at the top of the table.
The exact Barca schedule for the new LaLiga season will be revealed at some point in the summer of 2025.
November 2025 – Two more UCL matchdays
November will feature two more Champions League matchdays. The competition will follow the same format in the 2025/26 season with each team playing eight different sides during the league phase.
LaLiga will pause for the final international break of the year in the middle of the month.
December 2025 – The end of a busy year
A busy and hopefully successful year as far as Barca fans are concerned, will end in December, with several more league games and matchday six in the league phase of the Champions League.
It’s likely that Barca’s final game of 2025 will take place on the weekend of 20th/21st December in LaLiga, ahead of a break over the Christmas period.
