LaLiga Team News – Matchday 36 Injuries & Suspensions
Tuesday 10th May 2022
Valencia vs Real Betis
|Betis||Montoya, Ruiz, Bellerin, Camarasa, Bravo|
Win Probabilities: Valencia 26% | Betis 48%
Notes: Valencia’s Gabriel Paulista has picked up yet another injury and didn’t train on Monday ahead of this game. Claudio Bravo came off injured at the weekend for Betis meaning Rui Silva should start in goal here.
Granada vs Athletic Club
|Granada||Neva, Rochina, Torrente||Escudero, Suarez, Puertas, Raba, Montoro, Duarte||Petrovic|
|Athletic Club||Capa, De Marcos, Sancet, Yeray, Nunez|
Win Probabilities: Granada 26% | Athletic 48%
Notes: Granada have a number of injury concerns but will most likely look to keep changes to a minimum where possible after hitting six at the weekend. Jorge Molina may come in up front after he netted a brace off the bench. Dani Vivian should partner Inigo Martinez in central defence for Athletic given the other injuries.
Barcelona vs Celta Vigo
|Barcelona||Wague, Dest, Pique, Nico Gonzalez, Pedri, Roberto||Busquets|
|Celta||Mallo, Nolito, Dominguez|
Win Probabilities: Barcelona 69% | Celta 13%
Notes: Ter Stegen was a doubt for Barcelona but has trained today and is expected to start in goal. They could rotate up front having secured UCL qualification at the weekend. Their midfield options are more limited due to injuries and Busquets’ suspension meaning Riqui Puig may even get a rare start. Santi Mina won’t feature again for Celta this season following his recent court conviction.
Wednesday 11th May 2022
Alaves vs Espanyol
|Alaves||Guidetti, Manu Garcia||Mendez, Navarro|
Win Probabilities: Alaves 46% | Espanyol 27%
Notes: Rubén Duarte and Escalante should return to the Alaves XI following bans. Raul De Tomas should return up front for Espanyol after he was surprisingly only on the bench at the weekend. Youngster Nico Melamed may be rewarded for his goal with a start too.
Osasuna vs Getafe
Win Probabilities: Osasuna 39% | Getafe 29%
Notes: Mitrovic should start for Getafe in defence following suspension.
Sevilla vs Mallorca
|Sevilla||Suso, Fernando||Rekik, Martial|
|Mallorca||Galaretta, Greif, Sedlar, Ndiaye||Russo|
Win Probabilities: Sevilla 61% | Mallorca 16%
Notes: Mallorca could ring the changes after a 6-2 home humiliation by Granada at the weekend.
Elche vs Atletico Madrid
|Atletico Madrid||Felix, Lemar||Reinildo||Llorente|
Win Probabilities: Elche 16% | Atletico Madrid 58%
Notes: Enzo Roco is available following a ban and could start for Elche. Mario Hermoso is available again for Atleti who may consider some rotation.
Thursday 12th May 2022
Real Sociedad vs Cadiz
|Real Sociedad||Fernandez, Oyarzabal, Monreal, Barrenetxea||Isak, Le Normand|
Win Probabilities: Real Sociedad 59% | Cadiz 16%
Notes: Aritz Elustondo and perhaps Portu may get starts for La Real given those two key suspensions.
Rayo Vallecano vs Villarreal
|Villarreal||Alberto Moreno||Estupinan, Danjuma, Pino, Gerard Moreno|
Win Probabilities: Rayo 20% | Villarreal 56%
Notes: Gerard Moreno is likely to miss out again for Villarreal due to injury while this one may also come too soon for fellow forward Arnaut Danjuma.
Real Madrid vs Levante
|Real Madrid||Ceballos, Gutierrez||Alaba, Hazard, Marcelo, Bale, Isco, Mariano|
|Levante||Mustafi, Soldado, Clerc, De Frutos|
Win Probabilities: Real Madrid 63% | Levante 17%
Notes: Real Madrid should be stronger here than they were in the derby at the weekend with Courtois and Benzema among those likely to return to the XI. However Carlo Ancelotti still looks set to manage his players’ workload between now and the Champions League Final so don’t rule out more rests and rotation against relegation-threatened opposition.
