Granada vs Celta Vigo Preview
The Nuevo Los Carmenes is host to a tasty fixture this weekend as Granada host Celta Vigo. This is a must win match for the hosts who currently sit in the bottom three whilst Celta will look on course for a mid-table finish.
Granada’s last match was Aitor Karanke’s first in charge and the Andalusians put in a convincing performance to pick up a 0-0 draw away at Atletico Madrid. This defensive stability on display would have impressed Karanka after the team had conceded twelve goals in their previous four matches.
Under Robert Moreno, Granada got off to a slow start to the season and their only real form came in December when the team earned ten points out of twelve. However, this form failed to last and Moreno was shown the door in early March.
With Granada’s only really tough fixture left to play coming in Matchday 37 away at Betis, games such as this one against Celta will prove crucial if the Andalusians are to stay up.
Celta come into this game after a poor showing at home against Getafe which ended in a 2-0 loss. The sky blues failed to create many clear-cut chances and were carved apart defensively for both goals which were finished off by Borja Mayoral.
“Chacho” Coudet’s team have failed to hit real form at any point of the campaign, with positive results every few matchdays allowing the club to once again have to settle for a mid-table spot as the season comes to a close.

Granada vs Celta Vigo Predictions
Score Prediction: Granada 3-2 Celta Vigo
With Granada fighting for their lives and with a new manager spark, the club will be looking to grab an important win here and move out of the relegation zone. Games such as this with so much on the line can end up being very entertaining and end to end, so a goal fest is not unlikely.
