LaLiga Team News – Matchday 28 Injuries & Suspensions
Friday 11th March 2022
Atletico Madrid vs Cadiz
|Kondogbia, Correa, Lemar, Wass, Cunha, Hermoso, Vrsaljko
|Salvi Sanchez, Alarcon, Andone
Win Probabilities: Atleti 73% | Cadiz 6%
Notes: Koke and Savic could both return to the XI for Atleti. They face Man United on Tuesday but given their injury problems, there aren’t that many options for rotation here.
Saturday 12th March 2022
Levante vs Espanyol
|Morales, Clerc, Saracchi
|Morlanes, David Lopez
Win Probabilities: Levante 41% | Espanyol 29%
Notes: Espanyol not expected to change much. Levante could have Postigo and Campana available again but it’s unclear whether they’ll be considered to start.
Granada vs Elche
|Lozano, Arias, Gonalons
Win Probabilities: Granada 41% | Elche 29%
Notes: Elche expected to have Bigas and Morente available with the latter in line to start. Gumbau also returns from a ban and should come into midfield. Granada have sacked Robert Moreno so it’s hard to know how they’ll set up under interim management, but changes seem probable given their poor form.
Villarreal vs Celta Vigo
|Gerard Moreno, Foyth, Alcacer, Pena
Win Probabilities: Villarreal 57% | Celta 20%
Notes: Alberto Moreno has suffered a season-ending injury so we won’t see him again this term. Villarreal are keeping their cards close to their chest regarding Gerard Moreno but are hoping he can play some part in Turin next week.
Getafe vs Valencia
|Correia, Lato, Cillessen, Gaya
Win Probabilities: Getafe 40% | Valencia 29%
Notes: Damian Suarez, Cuenca and Alena are back from bans for Getafe and should all start. Ilaix and Alderete return from suspension for Valencia. Giorgi Mamardashvili should return in goal ahead of Jaume Domenech.
Sunday 13th March 2022
Rayo Vallecano vs Sevilla
|Falcao, Unai Lopez, Saveljich
|Isi, Álvaro García
|Suso, Lamela, Papu Gomez
|Montiel, Rekik, Carlos, Reges
Win Probabilities: Rayo 27% | Sevilla 42%
Notes: Sevilla in action on Thursday night, so we should learn more about the fitness of some of their players after 8 players missed the draw at Alaves last week. Acuna and Martial look the most likely to return here. Rayo welcome back Catena from a ban and he should start.
Real Betis vs Athletic Club
|Montoya, Alex Moreno, Guardado, Bellerin, Camarasa
|Agirrezabala, Inigo Martinez
Win Probabilities: Betis 41% | Athletic 28%
Notes: Sergio Canales is available again following suspension for Betis. They have looked tired of late and some rotation should be expected in between two European games.
Real Sociedad vs Alaves
|Carlos Fernandez, Barrenetxea
|Munoz, Monreal, Oyarzabal, Zubeldia, Merino
Win Probabilities: Real Sociedad 62% | Alaves 13%
Notes: Tomas Pina is available again for Alaves who have no major issues here. Real Sociedad have a number of players with niggles but key men Oyarzabal and Merino are both still expected to start despite limited involvement in training this week.
Barcelona vs Osasuna
|Fati, Roberto, Umtiti, Balde
Win Probabilities: Barcelona 72% | Osasuna 10%
Notes: Barcelona are in Europa League action on Thursday night. Expect some rotation from that XI, particularly if they fail to build up a big advantage ahead of next week’s 2nd Leg.
Monday 14th March 2022
Mallorca vs Real Madrid
|Ruiz de Galarreta, Greif
Win Probabilities: Mallorca 16% | Real Madrid 61%
Notes: Real Madrid should be at full strength here. Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde are both pushing to keep Toni Kroos out of the side after the German was rushed back to play against PSG.
