Levante vs Elche Preview
The Friday night game in LaLiga sees two teams from the Valencian region of Spain meet. It’s a huge game for Levante who have been given a glimmer of hope in their relegation battle over the past fortnight but they really do need to get all three points here from one of their best remaining chances to record a victory.
Levante are still 9 points from safety heading into this match which is a big deficit to overhaul but a surprise win at the Wanda Metropolitano, just their second victory of the season, followed by a draw in Vigo offer them hope. They look to have solved some of their major defensive flaws by playing with five at the back and Alessio Lisci deserves credit for riding the storm and restoring some belief in this side just when it looked as though the wheels may come off completely.
It’ll be interesting to see how he chooses to approach this one. It’s a different kind of game where there’ll be more emphasis on Levante as the home team to play on the front foot. The Italian does have options in the final third with the likes of Dani Gomez and Roger Marti having netted in recent weeks while Jose Luis Morales is always somebody who they look to for inspiration even if he hasn’t enjoyed his best campaign.
Elche meanwhile will see this as an opportunity to put real distance between themselves and the relegation scrap. Victory would actually see them climb into the top half and put them 12 points clear of the bottom three. They would surely go on to secure survival from that position and Francisco deserves great credit for the job he is doing at the Martinez Valero.
They’ve won 5 of their last 8 in all competitions, not bad given they’ve faced Real Madrid twice during that period and also travelled to Sevilla. They weren’t at their best last week against Rayo but found some late inspiration as goals from Guido Carrillo and Ezequiel Ponce sealed maximum points.

Levante vs Elche Predictions
Score Prediction: Levante 2-2 Elche
Levante have certainly started to play a bit better in recent games but perhaps benefited from a situation where the pressure was off to some extent in tough games on the road. This is a different scenario but it won’t be easy against an in-form Elche side and it could end in a score draw.
