Osasuna vs Valencia Preview

LaLiga returns with a full midweek fixture list on Wednesday and Thursday. Virtually every match between now and the end of the campaign looks as though it will have something riding on it. There will be rare exceptions and this looks like one of them with Osasuna and Valencia seemingly destined for mid-table finishes.
Osasuna all but secured their safety last time out with a 2-0 home win over Elche. Kike Barja’s 1st Half strike set them on their way before an own goal sealed a victory which extended Osasuna’s advantage on the bottom three clubs to 10 points with most clubs having only 7 matches to play. Even if Osasuna were to lose every match from here, there’s a good chance they’d have enough to stay in LaLiga.
Jagoba Arrasate will have something of the luxury of a run of games now where he can maybe experiment a bit and perhaps take a look at a few fringe players. Funds are likely to be very tight at bottom half clubs in LaLiga this summer so a club like Osasuna is likely to be in a position where they will have to go again with what they’ve got, perhaps with a few loan deals and free transfers.
Valencia fans meanwhile will be bracing themselves for another summer which may see key players depart. We’ll also wait and see what will happen with Javi Gracia who is widely believed to have fallen out with the owners but whether Peter Lim and co are willing to pay him off is quite another matter.
Los Che are two points worse off than their opponents currently and perhaps do need one more win or a couple of draws to be absolutely certain of their future in the top flight. They come into this one following back-to-back 2-2 draws against Betis and Real Sociedad with goals from Goncalo Guedes and Carlos Soler rescuing a point at the Benito Villamarin.

Osasuna vs Valencia Predictions
Score Prediction: Osasuna 1-1 Valencia
This one looks most likely to be a closely contested game with not much to choose between the sides. Both sides are getting the kind of results which suggest they will comfortably avoid relegation and a point each here would help them both on their path towards that.
