Real Sociedad vs Levante Preview
The penultimate game on Sunday in LaLiga comes from Anoeta. Real Sociedad will be optimistic about their chances of picking up three points against a Levante side that went to Extra Time and ultimately suffered late heartbreak on Thursday night in the Copa del Rey Semi-Finals.
La Real’s delayed 2020 Copa del Rey Final is very much on the horizon now. However with no European distractions remaining, the Basque side do have a month or so to really focus on their league form before then and they are looking well placed to at least qualify for the Europa League again. With no European place on offer for the first of the two cup Finals in April, the league is their only route into Europe.
After what was quite a tough winter at times, Real Sociedad have found some real form again in LaLiga. Their only defeat in their last 9 league outings was away to Sevilla while they came very close to making it 4 straight wins before Real Madrid’s late leveller in the 1-1 draw at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano on Monday night.
That disappointment did not compare to the despair Levante would have suffered as they saw their dreams of a first ever Copa del Rey Final extinguished by a deflected Extra Time goal for Athletic’s Alex Berenguer in their Semi-Final 2nd Leg on Thursday. Perhaps Paco Lopez’s side could have been a bit more positive, as is normally their way, but it was still a big slice of fortune for the visitors who will now play two cup Finals in the month of April.
Levante will find it tough to pick themselves up and go again only a few days later. Paco Lopez will need to use all of his motivation skills to make that happen but fatigue could become a factor too. The Valencia club are 9th in LaLiga heading into this matchday and are certainly in with an outside shot of qualifying for Europe via the league but they will need to find some real form between now and the end of the campaign to make that happen.
Deadly duo?⚽️
Levante are the second side this season to have two players reach 10 #LaLiga goals each, with Roger Martí and José Luis Morales both on 10 ?

Real Sociedad vs Levante Predictions
LaLiga Expert Predicts: Real Sociedad 4-1 Levante (follow us on Tipstrr to view our betting tips)
Levante would have been both deeply dejected and exhausted after their Extra Time Copa del Rey defeat on Thursday night. It’s going to be really tough for them to pick themselves up and go again here in such a difficult fixture. Real Sociedad are looking more like the team that got off to a flying start this season and they should win this one, and potentially by a decent margin.
