Huesca vs Celta Vigo Preview

The Sunday action in LaLiga kicks off at El Alcoraz where Huesca are playing host to Celta Vigo. The hosts are in the thick of the relegation scrap and are hoping to make their home games count as they bid to pull themselves clear of trouble and ultimately secure survival in the top flight for the first time.
While Michel worked wonders at Huesca in the Segunda Division, the decision to replace him with Pacheta does look to have been the right one for their survival chances. They look a more disciplined team under the latter’s guidance and one that is less likely to roll over and spurn opportunities to pick up points.
While they are still bottom of the table, there is real hope for Huesca, who on current form look capable of pulling themselves out of trouble with a host of teams above them struggling to convince. The Aragonese outfit have collected 8 points from their last 6 league games with key wins coming over Granada and Real Valladolid with 3 goals scored in both matches. That continued goal threat is encouraging given there was a suspicion that while they may tighten up defensively under Pacheta, it might come at the cost of scoring less goals.
As for Celta Vigo, their season is now in just a little bit of danger of petering out. An uneventful mid-table finish might not be such a bad thing after brushes with relegation in the last two seasons but it would be something of an anti-climax after such an exciting start to life under Chacho Coudet.
It’s just one win in nine league games now for the Galicians. They have been drawing plenty but they would have expected to claim maximum points last time out at home to Real Valladolid. In the end, they only just managed to scrape a point with Jeison Murillo scoring a 94th minute leveller at Balaidos to secure a 1-1 draw.
Bad news with respect to Celta’s most reliable defender this season.
Néstor Araújo has a hamstring injury and will miss at least a couple of weeks. Need Joseph Aidoo (or José Fontán?) to step up big in the next couple of crucial games. https://t.co/dN1392bAYb

This could be one of the most watchable games this weekend between two teams that have some talented players going forward but often leave holes at the back. The absence of key man Renato Tapia leaves Celta Vigo with a problem at the base of midfield and that could just tilt this in the home team’s favour.
