Levante vs Osasuna Preview
Levante are back at the Ciutat de Valencia this weekend having put themselves in a strong position to reach the Copa del Rey Final in midweek. Paco Lopez’s challenge now will be to make sure his side manages to refocus their energies on the league action with a few weeks before the 2nd Leg against Athletic.
First up, they welcome Osasuna to a ground that Levante have not lost at in over a year. While that’s partly due to them playing a series of home games at other venues while their stadium was renovated during the summer, it’s still an impressive feat, as has been their ability to go 10 games without losing overall heading into this.
There is certainly no danger of them being sucked into the relegation battle now and they are only 3 points off 7th place heading into the weekend, giving them two potential paths into Europe. That might not necessarily be beyond a Levante side that has frequently upset the big clubs in recent years but is now starting to show more consistency overall. They do though face back-to-back league games against leaders Atleti following this which may well halt their progress.
As for Osasuna, they’ve won two of their last three, claiming vital home victories against Granada and Eibar to ease their relegation fears. They have spent much of this campaign in and around the drop-zone but with the season’s picture now becoming clearer, it certainly feels as though there will be three worse teams than them in the final reckoning.
Merely surviving would still probably have to be seen as a relative success in just their second year back at this level and given the injury problems they’ve again had. Only 8 teams have picked up more points than them over the last 8 games but they’ve not won an away league game since the opening day of the season when they beat Cadiz.

Levante vs Osasuna Predictions
Score Prediction: Levante 1-1 Osasuna
Despite their overall good form, Levante have been held to slightly disappointing draws against Real Valladolid and Granada in their last two home games. Osasuna ought to be the fresher team having not played in midweek but it’s hard to see the visitors having enough to claim all the points. A draw looks the most likely outcome.
