The Monday night game in LaLiga sees Real Betis aim to extend their unbeaten start to 2021 when they play host to Osasuna. It’s a big week for the green and white half of Seville with a Copa del Quarter Final to come on Thursday followed by the visit of Barcelona on Sunday.

There are some signs now that Betis are starting to find their feet under Manuel Pellegrini. They are unbeaten in 7 matches in all competitions after Borja Iglesias’ Extra Time brace saw off Real Sociedad at a foggy Benito Villamarin last week. They’ve also climbed into the top half of LaLiga and have an opportunity to push on and challenge for Europe with two potential avenues into continental action next term.

Despite their good form, there are still a few question-marks about whether Betis really have turned a corner. The number nine position is still one without a convincing solution. Despite his cup heroics, Iglesias has just one league goal this term, as does Loren Moron while Toni Sanabria has departed the club this month. Midfielder Sergio Canales has been in inspired form of late in front of goal but Betis’ European chances may hinge on either Loren or Iglesias finding their shooting boots on a consistent basis between now and May.

Osasuna meanwhile are a bit of a curious case in that they are only outside the relegation zone on goal difference, yet have put a solid run of results together, albeit one featuring a few too many draws. Discounting a penalty shootout defeat in the Copa del Rey, they’ve lost just one of their last 10 matches in all competitions.

That loss along with their cup exit, did come in Andalusia though against Granada and Almeria respectively so they’ll be hoping to avoid an unwanted hat-trick in the region here. They did gain revenge on Granada last weekend with a 3-1 win at El Sadar as Ante Budimir’s brace sealed a first league victory since October for the Pamplona club.

Real Betis vs Osasuna Predictions

Score Prediction: Betis 1-1 Osasuna

Osasuna aren’t losing many football matches at the moment. They’ve looked more like their old selves over the past few weeks and are tough to break down and crucially the likes of Budimir and Jonathan Calleri are starting to offer them a bit more in the final third. They ought to have enough to get a result here against an improving Betis side that may have one eye on Thursday’s cup Quarter-Final against Athletic.
