Levante vs Eibar Preview
The first game on Sunday in LaLiga comes from Valencia as Levante play host to Eibar. Just one point and one place separate the sides in the league table heading into this matchday. Both sides are right in the thick of a congested league table with very little separating the teams in the lower part of the top half from the relegation zone as it stands.
Levante looked like they might be destined for a relegation battle this season when they won just one of their opening 10 league fixtures. However they will head into this match with renewed belief following three straight home victories over Getafe, Real Sociedad and Real Betis.
Those results were achieved despite a number of absentees and in terms of depth, this does look to be the strongest Levante squad for some time. They will need to rely on that again here though it would seem, with a number of players carrying injuries that leave them doubtful for this match.
Eibar meanwhile were more strongly tipped to struggle after another relatively uninspiring transfer window on their part. However crucially one man they did bring in, is now really starting to deliver. Sevilla loanee Bryan Gil has offered a bit of spark in the final third which has helped increase Eibar’s attacking output this season and he scored both goals in the 2-0 win over Granada last time out.
Gil was also influential in helping Eibar avoid a cup upset in midweek at Las Rozas. 3-0 up and cruising, the Basques somehow contrived to concede 3 goals in 6 minutes to the Segunda B side as the game went to Extra Time. Gil came off the bench though to tee up fellow substitute Sergi Enrich for the winner.

Levante are monitoring the fitness of midfielders Jose Campana, Enis Bardhi, Ruben Rochina and Mickaël Malsa here and will be hoping at least one or two are fit enough to play.
