Levante vs Real Sociedad Preview
Real Sociedad travel to the Ciutat de Valencia on Saturday looking to get back to winning ways. Their stunning start to the season is now fading a bit but they remain in 2nd place heading into the week although the suspicion is that they are now really starting to suffer from the fatigue of a busy campaign so far.
They are up against a Levante side that is intent on climbing the table and moving away from danger. They have managed to avoid a relegation scrap quite comfortably in recent seasons and they do have enough quality to ensure that is the case again.
Levante certainly showcased that in their most recent home game, a 3-0 win over Getafe. However that was only their second win of the season with five straight draws proceeding it. There has been a slight transition with a few younger players such as Dani Gomez and Jorge De Frutos getting a chance in the team as Paco Lopez looks to the future a bit, but they are currently missing key man José Campaña which is a significant blow.
The injuries are also mounting for Real Sociedad which is a shame but sadly predictable given they’ve already crammed 20 matches in all competitions into this congested season. Adnan Januzaj was the latest to pick up an injury in the 2-1 defeat at Camp Nou in midweek. While they by no means disgraced themselves in the game and had chances to level it up, there was never really the sense that they were going to end a woeful run of defeats in that particular fixture.
More pressingly, La Real are now winless in 7 matches in all competitions with six straight draws proceeding that. They have some talented youngsters who have equipped themselves well but with so many injuries, it’s going to be a really big ask for this side to hold it together over the busy festive period and maintain the Basque club’s status at or near the very top of the table.

Team News
Creative midfielders Enis Bardhi and Jose Campana are both sidelined through injury for Levante.
Adnan Januzaj and David Silva are both definitely out for the visitors. Top scorer Mikel Oyarzabal is also a major doubt and may not be risked with other games quickly following this one.
Predicted Levante Starting Lineup:
Fernandez – Clerc, Postigo, Vezo, Coke – Melero, Vukcevic, Malsa, De Frutos – Marti, Gomez (4-4-2)
Predicted Real Sociedad Starting Lineup:
Remiro – Monreal, Le Normand, Zubeldia, Gorosabel – Merino, Guevara, Zubimendi – Barrenetxea, Willian Jose, Portu (4-3-3)
Levante vs Real Sociedad Predictions
Score Prediction: Levante 1-1 Real Sociedad
Both these clubs have been drawing plenty of games lately with Levante putting five straight 1-1 draws together in LaLiga recently while La Real had drawn 6 straight matches in all comps prior to Barcelona in midweek. Both sides are missing the key men who could have played a major role in trying to settle this one way or the other and it may just end up all square.
