Real Valladolid vs Levante Preview

Real Valladolid vs Levante preview

This Friday’s match in LaLiga comes from the Jose Zorrilla and it sees two struggling teams meet. While Real Valladolid have finally found some form over the past couple of matchdays, Levante are still waiting to add to their solitary victory so far this term and could really do with a positive outcome here.

The hosts have found a new lease of life in November after a slow start to the campaign. Following the addition of a few more creative and attack-minded players, it was perhaps always going to take some time for Real Valladolid to evolve into a better all-round team but there have been some more encouraging signs in their last two games.

The 5 goals scored in wins over Athletic Club and Granada, are as many as they’d managed in their first 8 games this season. Crucially they’ve found some extra firepower with Marcos de Sousa scoring in both those games and he now looks to have cemented his place in Sergio’s preferred strike pairing alongside Sergi Guardiola.

Levante aren’t playing terribly but they come into this game on the back of four straight 1-1 draws in LaLiga. The opposition during that period came in the shape of Celta, Granada, Alaves and Elche, with three of those fixtures at home. Paco Lopez will be deeply frustrated that his team didn’t manage to win at least one of those games and a win here would be very useful with some tougher fixtures coming up.

The Valencia club are currently 18th in the table but there’s not much separating the teams in the middle of the league from the bottom three and it’s the kind of league where a decent run of form can see a team shoot up the standings so Levante won’t be panicking just yet.

Real Valladolid vs Levante Predictions

Score Prediction: Real Valladolid 1-1 Levante

There’s only one scoreline in Levante games right now and it’d be no surprise if we got another 1-1 here. Real Valladolid have stepped up a gear but they don’t have a good recent weekend against this opposition. While they play a very different brand of football, these are two relatively evenly matched teams and it’s hard to pick a winner in this one.
