Albacete vs Real Oviedo Preview
On Saturday Albacete will be welcoming Real Oviedo to the Estadio Carlos Belmonte. Both sides will be wanting to pick up a win as this could kick start their seasons with both having struggled to get going.
It is not the start that Lucas Alcaraz was imagining going into the new campaign. Three games in and it’s three losses and no goals scored. They did work hard in their last match against Fuenlabrada, creating some chances with Ortuno coming close again but in the end a great free kick from Pathe Ciss sealed it for Fuenla.
It’s only three games in and fans are already wanting manager Alcaraz out. Maybe a win here might revive their hopes in this team and give breathing space to their under pressure manager. Albacete have made a signing this week bringing in Senegalese midfielder Pape Maly Diamanka on loan from Girona. He will bring a lot of experience and strengthen the midfield and is likely to be in the squad for this match.
Real Oviedo have also not had the start they were hoping for picking up two points from three games. José Ángel Ziganda’s men have only scored one goal this season and that is not good enough for a side who were hoping to push to make the top half this season. They played very well against Espanyol and were unlucky not to score due to Diego Lopez’s brilliance in goal. However sloppy mistakes gifted Espanyol the goals and that’s something they have to cut out if they want to have a successful season.

Oviedo will be in this match until the end and having already scored late against Mirandes, I wouldn’t put it past them to do it again in this match.
