Osasuna vs Levante Preview

Osasuna take on Levante in the early game on Sunday in LaLiga. It will see the first action at El Sadar this season with the Pamplona stadium having undergone some major redevelopment work this summer. Osasuna head home following a decent return of 3 points from their 2 away matches to date.
They were victorious at newly promoted Cadiz on the opening weekend but sank to a 1-0 defeat at Getafe last time out. Jagoba Arrasate will probably feel as though his side should have taken something from what was a tight and pretty even game but he’ll now be focused on making a winning start at home.
Osasuna will miss the presence of home fans more than most teams and the success of their season may be largely defined by their ability to make El Sadar a tough place for visiting teams to go, even if it is going to be empty for most of the campaign.
Levante’s stadium has also been renovated and they’ll be looking forward to finally getting back home after more than six months next weekend. Paco Lopez’s side played some really good football at Mestalla in their opening match but defensively they were poor and ended up on the wrong end of a 4-2 scoreline against city rivals Valencia. They didn’t have a match last weekend.
They are bracing themselves for the possible departure of key midfielder José Campaña who is attracting interest from Leeds United. The 27 year old should feature here but we could see quite a bit of late transfer activity at Levante if they do sell the player for a sizable fee.

Predicted Osasuna XI:
Herrera – Cruz, David Garcia, Navas, Vidal – Perez, Moncayola, Oier, Roberto Torres – Adrian, Ruben Garcia (4-4-2)

Osasuna vs Levante Predictions
Score Prediction: 1-1 Draw
This is a tough one to call. Osasuna have performed reasonably well so far but they do look like a side that is going to be short on consistent goal threats. Levante ought to have a more solid feel here with Ruben Vezo back in the heart of defence and they look capable of leaving El Sadar with a point.
