Osasuna vs Celta Vigo Preview
Celta Vigo head to El Sadar on Saturday in LaLiga with work still to do to guarantee their status as a top flight club for another season. Their current tally of 36 points may be enough to keep them up but they won’t want to take any chances and they’ll be hoping to increase that figure by at least one in Pamplona.
Osasuna meanwhile have already secured their safety and they are heading for a comfortable mid-table finish in their first season back at this level. That’s a terrific achievement for Jagoba Arrasate and his side who perhaps haven’t got the credit they deserve with fellow new boys Granada stealing a lot of the limelight with their brilliant start. A 3-0 defeat at Betis in midweek was though a slight sign that Osasuna minds may be starting to wander towards the belated summer break.
Celta will be hoping to take advantage if that is the case. The Galicians have been pretty solid since the restart with the exception of that heavy 5-1 defeat at Mallorca. Otherwise they are unbeaten in this final chunk of the season and come into this game on the back of two 1-1 home draws against Real Betis and Atletico Madrid.
They are still though a side that has only won twice on the road in LaLiga all season so they aren’t exactly a team that will travel full of belief. Osasuna’s home record isn’t as impressive as you might think either with just a 35% home win ratio. They’ve only picked up 3 more points at El Sadar than they’ve managed on their travels.

Osasuna vs Celta Vigo Predictions
Score Prediction: 1-1 Draw
Draws are probably sufficient for Celta Vigo at this stage in the campaign and overall they have quietly become quite a tough side to beat under Oscar Garcia. With Osasuna not really having anything to play for, you certainly have to fancy Celta to get something here but they aren’t consistently convincing enough in the final third to fully back them to win the game.
