Sevilla vs Eibar Preview
The late game on Monday night comes from the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan where Sevilla are hoping to solidify their position in the top four against an Eibar side which still has work to do to secure their safety. The onus will be on the hosts to dictate the running and extend their unbeaten record since the restart.
Sevilla won their first game back and their most recent match but there were four straight draws in between those victories over Betis and Leganes. Julen Lopetegui will still be frustrated by his side at times but they are well placed to secure Champions League qualification and overall it has been a successful first season in Seville for the former Spain and Real Madrid boss.
It hasn’t been Eibar’s best top flight campaign by any means but they are still looking good to maintain their top tier status. A 2-0 defeat at home to Osasuna in their most recent outing was a significant setback but they have fixtures remaining that offer them a chance to absolutely guarantee their survival in the non too distant future.
Indeed they have to face both of the bottom two by the end of this week. With those games against Leganes and Espanyol on the horizon, it’s highly possible that José Luis Mendilibar will look to conserve his team’s energy levels here by resting a number of regulars for this match.
That’s no guarantee of the result though. Sevilla failed to beat a much changed Real Valladolid in their last outing at the RSP. They will have to do without the impressive Jules Kounde due to suspension here and there could be other changes at the back too with Sergio Escudero potentially rotating in at left-back.

Score Prediction: 2-0 Sevilla
Sevilla were clinical at Butarque last time out and they should have enough quality to see off what may be a weakened Eibar team. The Basques don’t generally travel well and had only won one of their 15 away league games this term before a vital victory in Andalusia against Granada last week.
