Real Valladolid vs Granada predictions, H2H and match preview for this Tuesday’s game in La Liga. Read on for analysis and predicted line-ups as the in-form visitors go in search of a fourth straight win.
Real Valladolid vs Granada Preview
This game pits two of the pre-season relegation favourites against one another. Granada have so far completely defied all expectations. The new boys are the only team in La Liga to have won each of their last three games culminating in a famous victory at the weekend. Real Valladolid meanwhile haven’t been quite so convincing but they’ve had a tough start with 4 of their opening 5 games away from home.
They have already hosted one of the newly promoted teams though. They were perhaps fortunate to come away with a 1-1 draw from their clash against Osasuna. That will be a bit of a concern for Sergio who will see these kind of games as the ones that his Valladolid team really need to be winning in what is likely to be another struggle for survival. They battled hard at Villarreal at the weekend but still ultimately succumbed to a 2-0 defeat with the Yellow Submarine netting twice late on.
Granada meanwhile beat the mighty Barcelona 2-0 at home to heap the pressure on Ernesto Valverde. Inevitably much of the media focus surrounded how poor Barca were but that’s a bit unfair on Granada who have been excellent this season. They’ve already taken 7 points and scored 9 times away from home which should give them confidence heading into this one.
The visitors are expected to rotate their forward line here with Roberto Soldado set to drop out and either Carlos Fernandez and Adrian Ramos in line to replace him. They may even play both and go 4-4-2 but Diego Martínez may be reluctant to tinker with a system that is delivering results. Valladolid will at least be able to recall Enes Unal to bolster their attack after the Turk was ineligible against his parent club at the weekend.
Real Valladolid vs Granada Predictions
Score Prediction: 1-0 Granada
This promises to be a close game and Valladolid games rarely produce a huge amount of goalmouth action. Right now though, all the momentum is with Granada. They are playing well and have scored 7 more goals than their opponents so far this season. They might just nick this to continue their blistering start.
