Mallorca vs Real Sociedad predictions, H2H and match preview for this Sunday’s game in La Liga. Read on for analysis and predicted line-ups as the Balearic islanders aim for more joy at Son Moix.
Mallorca vs Real Sociedad Preview
Mallorca are back at Son Moix again having made a winning start on their return to the top flight. They saw off Eibar 2-1 on the opening weekend and it’s Basque opposition again here as they welcome Real Sociedad to Palma. Imanol’s men also got off to a strong start with a 1-1 draw at the Mestalla courtesy of penalty that was converted in the 101st minute by Mikel Oyarzabal.
The visiting coach will have a few selection dilemmas heading into this one. Centre-backs Diego Llorente and Aritz Elustondo were both banned last weekend but are likely to come into the side despite a reasonably solid defensive showing with midfielder Igor Zubeldia filling in at centre-back. The shape up of the attacking trio is also up for debate with Alexander Isak competing with Willian Jose for a starting role up top.
It should be same again for Mallorca following their excellent start. They were pretty good value for their victory over Eibar even if it did come via a slice of luck with the visitors scoring an own goal. They’ve further added to their options by bringing in highly rate Real Madrid youngster Takefusa Kubo on loan this week and it’ll be fascinating to watch his development this season.
He’s likely to face a battle to get into the side though with Mallorca certainly hopeful that they can keep this positive momentum going with their record at Son Moix outstanding this calendar year.

Mallorca vs Real Sociedad Predictions
Score Prediction: 1-1 Draw
This is a really tough match to call. Real Sociedad fought hard and managed to salvage a point at Valencia despite the suspensions of their first-choice centre-backs. They should have a stronger eleven out here and will come looking for three points but with Mallorca unbeaten in their last 16 home games, a draw looks the most likely outcome in this one.
