Girona vs Levante predictions, H2H and match preview for this Sunday’s game in La Liga. Read on for analysis and predicted line-ups ahead of this crunch relegation six-pointer.
Girona vs Levante Match Preview
There have been some huge games at the bottom end of La Liga in recent weeks and this is most certainly another one. Girona dropped back into the bottom three last weekend and they could in theory be relegated on Sunday although a lot of results would have to go against them elsewhere. Victory though would move them level on points with Levante and would set things up very nicely for what could be a nail-biting final day at the bottom.
Girona have lost 7 of their last 8 in La Liga and a bit like Levante, they’ve plummeted down the table from what at one point looked a position of absolute comfort. However that recent home win over Sevilla will give them a bit more confidence but they are sweating on the fitness of top scorer Cristhian Stuani here. The big Uruguayan may be risked regardless given the magnitude of the situation but he hasn’t been on the top of his game lately.
Levante meanwhile were very impressive last time out as they swept aside Rayo 4-1 to win a relegation six pointer. They’ll be hoping to build on that here but consistency hasn’t exactly been their forte this term. They aren’t likely to change too much from the eleven that won last time out although Roger Marti will be hoping to displace Borja Mayoral from the eleven with the Real Madrid loanee still struggling for goals.
Both sides are likely to line up 4-3-3 and both have been under the same management all season so we shouldn’t see any surprises from a tactical perspective here in what is a huge game for both sides.

Girona vs Levante Predictions
Score Prediction: 2-2 Draw
Games likes this can be tight, nervy affairs but both these sides are more effective when they get the ball forward quickly and try to score goals and both coaches may look to play to their strengths. It has the potential to be quite open but it’s a tough one to call and a score draw that suits Levante more than Girona could be the outcome.
Girona vs Levante H2H
- Last 6 meetings: 2 Levante Wins, 1 Girona Win, 3 Draws.
- The sides drew 2-2 in Valencia earlier this term.
- The last 3 meetings have all been drawn.
- Girona have only won 1 of their last 5 home games against Levante.
One to Watch – Jose Campaña
3 – Levante’s Jose Campaña has scored three goals in his last three LaLiga games, one more than in his previous 86 games in the competition (2). Streak. pic.twitter.com/Q5BWTXDyd1

Jose Campaña starred last time out with a goal and two assists as Levante cruised past Rayo. He’s in fine form right now and Girona will have to find a way to stop his influence in midfield.
