This is a massive game in the season of both teams. Sevilla leapfrogged Getafe to take 4th place last weekend by winning the derby against Betis. However Geta have still managed to take 4 points from their last 2 games despite being a goal and a man down heading into Stoppage Time last time out at Valladolid. With some tough games coming up though, they may see this as a game they need to win if they are to stand much chance of clinching that 4th Champions League place.
That would of course be an exceptional achievement but having been in and around the top four for so long, there may now be a small sense of an anti-climax if Geta only make the Europa League. They have a couple of suspensions to contend with here with Damián Suárez and Mathías Olivera both banned. They can though count on the services of Jaime Mata and Jorge Molina up top though with the duo having scored 24 times already this term in La Liga.
Wissam Ben Yedder and Pablo Sarabia may not be a strike pairing as such but they have 27 goals between them for Sevilla. Sarabia has had a marvellous season also reaching double figures for assists and appears to be coming back to form after a slight dip. Sevilla you sense are benefiting from returning to a more orthodox one game per week schedule having played so many matches this term following an early start in the Europa League.
These sides were battling for 7th place this time last year so both teams have improved this season although Sevilla’s return to form has come post the sacking of Pablo Machin with Joaquin Caparros doing another solid job in a caretaker role.

Pablo Sarabia left Getafe for Seville in the summer of 2016 and he has gone from strength to strength since with his goal and assist numbers this season simply outstanding.
